12605497_1046951802028736_1268509635381023458_oBudo Fighting Championships are happy to announce that Tristar wrestling coach Matthew Miller has signed with the promotion and will be making his MMA debut vs Brit Dan Cassell on Budo 14 in Watford on Saturday, May 21st.

Miller, a Canadian wrestling Champion and Pan-Am Medallist makes the long trip to the Isle of St George for his MMA debut. A Canadian native, he’s well known for training fighters such as the UFC’s Rory MacDonald, Stephen Thompson, Tom Breese and Arnold Allen and will be looking to add to the team’s successes over recent years by being successful here.

Cassell, of Wolfpack MMA joined the Professional ranks after a near 5 year campaign as an Amateur where he held a record of 9 wins and 5 losses picking up the Fight Star Middleweight Championship along the way. An Amateur World Bronze Medallist he made his Professional debut earlier in 2016 where he came up just short losing via third round submission. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Cassell is eager to right the wrongs of his previous fight with a quick finish over Miller.

Chris Clarke’s comments:

We are over the moon to have signed Matthew, we’re even more happy to have someone as eager as Dan Cassell who wants to get in there and lock horns with him. Budo 14 is looking like it’ll be our biggest show to date and this fight will only make it that much better.
