EXCLUSIVE: Flyweights set to collide at WFS7

Continuing on from their earlier announcement on Bloody Elbow, London-based promotion Warrior Fight Series have exclusively revealed that they’ve signed another mouth-watering bout for their March 25th event.

WFS are fast becoming the home for exciting flyweights, having launched the professional career of standout prospect and new BAMMA flyweight Dominic Wooding. They’ve continued the trend by today releasing news of a confirmed bout between Tom Creasey and Mark Wade.

Creasey, the younger brother of Cage Warriors standout Sam Creasey had a stellar amateur career, going 9-0 (1 draw). Since turning professional he’s been blighted with pull outs and niggling injuries which has slowed his charge up the rankings somewhat. The only bout he managed last year was a last minute replacement against Vitor Silva on WFS 5 at 66kg; a whole two classes above his usual fighting weight. Not that that stopped him though, as he secured a first round victory with vicious elbows in a ground and pound mauling of the much bigger and more experienced Brazilian.

Wade (0-1 as a professional) will be looking to recover some of the form which made him one of the most feared amateurs on the flyweight circuit. A former Shock n Awe amateur belt holder, Wade is known for his clinch control and heavy strikes. The Brutal Barber dropped a submission loss to Julian Vilanova at Fusion 20 back in June, so will be eager to get back on track in March.

Both young men are renowned for never taking a backwards step, so rest assured, if you’re in attendance at the York Hall, you are in store for a barnstorming bout.

Tickets for the event will be on sale soon. Follow Warrior Fight Series on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for details.
