EXCLUSIVE: Main event of Budo 19 off!

Murch vs James is off! The heavy-handed welterweights were due to clash on Budo 19 on March 11th in Swansea, but injury has put paid to that as Wes Murch has had to pull out. However, all is not lost.

Yet again, the Budo FC team have shown why they’re rated as one of the real up and coming shows in the country by securing a big name replacement. Stepping into the breach is Cage Warriors and BAMMA veteran Ali Arish.

Arish has fought a who’s who of warriors in his eight years as a professional, stepping into the cage with the likes of Jack Marshman, Jack Hermansson, Jack Mason and Matt Inman. Holding a 21-6 professional record, Jordan James is in for a tough night against the Mancunian.

Another bout to keep a close eye on is the co-main event, where wily veteran Marley Swindells (7-4-1) faces off with Konmon Deh (7-3) for the Budo European Featherweight Championship. Frenchman Deh is known for his methodical and powerful ground game. He’ll have his work cut out against the powerhouse Swindells who honed his ground game at the renowned Chris Rees Academy; the same camp as recent UFC signing Brett Johns and female BJJ phenomenon, Ffion Davies, before heading over to Thailand to sharpen his stand up, settling at Phuket Top Team, which has now become his home base.

Tickets are on sale for the event, further details are available here.
