We followed this up on January 16th with the next step in the partnership; confirmation that Budo would be going to Brazil this year. Today we can confirm the next development step in the partnership; Aspera are coming to England, and we know when!
Last year we broke the news of Budo Fighting Championships’ affiliation with Brazilian promotional juggernaut Aspera FC. Although it raised a few eyebrows, it also generated a few whispers saying “so what?”, as many in the community questioned the impact it would have on the UK show. Today we can exclusively reveal the answer to just that, as Budo FC are going international.
So, the news has broken. Three of the pioneers of MMA in this country have returned and are bringing mixed martial arts back to Berkshire. Back in the early noughties, Andy Sledge, and the James brothers, Paul and Simon, brought us the FX3 promotion; a Reading based company, rivalling Cage Rage as the premier show in the UK. Hosting eleven events from 2005 to 2009, the cards were littered with a who’s-who of not just domestic MMA, but global. British combat promotion Budo Fighting Championships have revealed the next step in their quest for global domination exclusively to On The Road with Addicted MMA. Whilst preparing for their fifteenth event, scheduled for September 11th at the Holiday Inn, Bolton; CEO Chris Clarke has announced an official affiliation with Brazilian combat promotion Aspera FC.
