Shinobi War 7 took place this evening (Saturday April 30) at the Liverpool Olympia in the promotion’s final all-amateur showcase before it introduces professional matchups in July. Shinobi MMA FC has released several additions to the card for Shinobi War 7 on April 30. Earlier in March, the Liverpool-based promotion announced a title defence for Manny Akpan, who defends his Featherweight belt against Jordan Barton. Akpan (5-0) took home the gold at Shinobi War 5 last year, TKOing BJJ standout Ben Royle. Barton (4-1) is a four-time veteran of the promotion and is unbeaten since losing to Bobby Pallett at Lightweight at Shinobi War 1.
Dave Barnes and Karol Nazar met in an exciting-looking bout in the Lightweight division at Shinobi War 6 last Saturday. Both men, especially Nazar, came out all guns blazing from the off. Liverpool Vale Tudo Lightweight Aaron Talent made his Amateur MMA debut at Shinobi War 6 last weekend against Wes Williams. Talent made use of a strong wrestling base to keep Williams on the ground and take the judges’ nod after nine hard-fought minutes in the cage at the Liverpool Olympia.
It was to be a tooth and nail affair between Hamma’s Mick Stanton and Apex MMA’s Jenaid Ebanks this past weekend as Shinobi War 6 this past weekend. The Apex man was to have his hand raised after three hard rounds but both men learned many lessons.
